Train woes

Working on my Hover train, and when I export this to P-view the walls of the cab do not render correctly.

Any thoughts?

Booleans Are Evil.

You want all your geometry to nicely topologized quads as much as possible. N-gons with holes will not auto-tesselate nicely so the side wall gets a weird big triangle across it in Panda. Same will usually be true with any game engine. use the split tool to get a nice quad grid on that wall and it should fix it.

Also, on an unrelated note. Look at the end of the exhaust pipe and see how it has weird shading? that's soft normals on something that should be a hard edge.

1. select the vertex at the center
2. select->convert selection to->faces

this will select all the faces at the end cap

3. Normals->Harden Edge
